1.  What I like about the book?
Oxford Handbook of Forensic Medicine is an ebook that can be accessed anywhere without having the hassle to carry bulky books. The interface also provides links to every subtopic for an instant reference. Other than that, this ebook discusses every topic thoroughly in lay person terms which will benefit both the medical professionals and those that are interested in forensic medicine.

2. Brief content of the book.
This ebook starts off with discussion on medico-legal issues that are very common in today’s world. It also provides an introduction to the forensic medicine and the forensic practitioners’ job scope. Next, the ebook discusses the diagnosis of death followed by different disciplines in every chapter, for instance abuse, asphyxia, and traffic accidents. Each chapter comprises holistic information on identifying injuries, medico-legal acts, causes of death, etc.

3. Does it suit you or any other programs and why?
This ebook comes in handy to the year 3 medical students as they will be exposed to forensic medicine in that year. Other courses which have the exposure to the forensic medicine might also find this ebook very useful. For instance, students under Pharmaceutical Chemistry course will find the sections on toxicology and pharmacology particularly interesting and helpful for their revision. The fact that this ebook provides information electronically means it should be easily accessible to whoever that needs reference on forensic medicine.

4. Would you recommend this book to your colleagues and why?
Yes. I would suggest the use of this ebook to my colleagues and friends from other courses. This ebook contains all the basic information on forensic medicine as well as medico-legal aspects and it helps with understanding and revision. The downside of the ebook is that it lacks in pictures and evidences on forensic cases, apart from containing the medico-legal acts based on those from the United Kingdom. All in all, the ebook contains sufficient information to be accessed for instant reference, so it is very convenient for the users to gain information on the spot.

This book presents a multitude of information in a clear, concise and easy to understand manner. It always defines and explains any new content before moving on to discussing any issues related to the topic at hand. The organisation of contents within the book and presentation of information is where this book shines. Moreover, there is a list of tables, diagrams and figures at the beginning, and a glossary at the end to help students and lecturers both locate essential information quicker.

The book starts off with development of food services, the different approaches, philosophy, tools and resources of institutional food management, space management, equipment selection, design, installation, purchasing, care and maintenance, food management, financial management, personnel management, hygiene sanitation and safety, and marketing of products. It offers a very comprehensive guide to the different aspects of institutional food management in simple sentences, bringing them together along the way.

As a Nutrition and Dietetics student, I think that this book suits my program, and also Nutrition students. The references to the different modern management techniques can also bring us up to date with the world of institutional food management, especially after we graduate. Information about equipment design, purchasing and marketing of products will also help those who are interested to go into business after graduation.
