Library Workshop: ProQuest RefWorks

Dear all,

Please be informed that the second ProQuest RefWorks Workshop of the year will be conducted as below via TEAMS:

The workshop will focus on:

  1. Registering an individual account
  2. Importing reference from Legacy RefWorks to ProQuest RefWorks
  3. Importing reference from EDS search engine
  4. Importing reference from Google Scholar
  5. Importing reference from websites (such as NICE, SIGN, The Star, etc.)
  6. Generate citation via Microsoft Word

* Do attend the workshop using your computer as no. 6 above will require the use of Microsoft Word.


This workshop is recommended for those who:

  • Are new to RefWorks
  • Are preparing their thesis / research and those recently joined the university
  • Would like to migrate references from their Legacy RefWorks to ProQuest RefWorks account


* Reminder: LEGACY REFWORKS will soon be deactivated and no longer able to be accessed beginning 30 June 2023, and it will be replaced with ProQuest RefWorks.

RefWorks Workshops with Librarian

Dear All,

Please be informed that Library will conduct its first RefWorks workshop of the year on 29/4/2015. Details as follow:

Date: 29/4/2015 (Wednesday) 
Time: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm 
Venue: E-Lab 3 (3.01.03), IMU Bukit Jalil 
 

Here are some of the features available from RefWorks:
  1. Accessible anywhere with internet connection. 
  2. Allow users to share reference with their colleagues. 
  3. User-friendly: Using “direct export” from other databases such as Science Direct to RefWorks.
  4. Saving articles / documents in the database. 
  5. Prepare citation. 
Students and staff who are preparing their thesis / research and those recently joined the university are encourage to attend the workshop.

  1. Accessible from anywhere with internet connection.
  2. Allow users to share reference with their colleagues.
  3. User-friendly:  Using “direct export” from databases such as Science Direct to RefWorks.
  4. Saving articles / documents in the database.
  5. Prepare citation.

Students and staff who are preparing their thesis / research and recently joined the university are encouraged to attend the workshop.

RefWorks Workshop - 12/7/2013



Dear All,

Library will conduct its second RefWorks workshop of the year and you are invited to attend the session as follow:

Date: 12/7/2013
Time: 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM
Venue: E-Lab 3


The session will be separated into 3 parts which are:

Part 1:        Manually add reference to RefWorks
Part 2:        Manually import reference to RefWorks. Example: from PUBMED
Part 3:        Import reference to Refworks (directly from databases) Example: from Ebscohost / Proquest
Part 4:        Ref Grab from websites
Part 5:        Citing your paper
