1. What I like about the book?
Firstly, I liked how the book is structured according to different parts of the body, namely, the shoulder, knee, neck and lower back. It also contains the structural and functional anatomy of each region using skeletal model and colored images so that we can clearly understand the basics before delving into the examinations. The images can be downloaded or favorited to view at other times. I especially liked how the common problems arising from each region are separated into another section so that it is much easier to locate.
2. Brief content of the book.
There are 8 chapters in the book. Chapter 1, 2 and 3 being more non-specific and introductory. Meanwhile, Chapter 4 to 7 each focuses on an individual musculoskeletal region, namely of the shoulder, knee, neck and lower back. Chapter 8 contains a few references for further studying up. In each chapter, it starts off with the expected learning outcomes followed by detailed anatomy of the related structures. For example, Chapter 4 which contains examination of the shoulder
3. Does it suit you or any other programs and why?
I feel that this will certainly be of use to the medical stream students for obvious reasons, especially for semester 4 students in the musculoskeletal module. But on the other hand, this book will also greatly benefit students from chiropractic as it will be a great reference to use for revision of anatomy, especially if used together with the models in Medical Museum.
4. Would you recommend this book to your colleagues and why?
I would surely recommend this eBook as I believe this eBook will certainly make life easier in preparing for CSSC sessions. Also, the contents of the examination are summarized efficiently so that student can quickly flip through it if they are short on time. It can also be used as an external reference for OSCE revision when the manuals are too brief.
