External visitors from UNISEL

On 18/3/2014, IMU Library Bukit Jalil received a visit from UNISEL and the visitors were students pursuing Bachelor and Diploma courses in Library Science, and Diploma in Museum Management.

During the visit, the students were briefed on the real life work environment in a Library and Medical Museum and challenges they should expect in delivering their duties.

They were also given a tour of the Library and Medical Museum to get better ideas on what were shared during the briefing session.

Oral Health Books and Posters Exhibition

In conjunction with World Oral Health Day on 20th March 2014, Library has organized "Oral Health Books and Posters Exhibition" at Library lobby area (in front of Reserve Collection Area).

Book Exhibition Booth - IMEC

Dear All,

Kindly be informed that there will be Book Exhibition booths from IBS Buku Sdn Berhad, HBJ Education Sdn Bhd and Stallion Press Ptd Ltd during the IMEC. We appreciate your co-operation to select / recommend books for the library.

Note: There will be an autograph signing session by Prof. Ron Harden for two books at HBJ Education Sdn Bhd, 4th Floor: Booth 5 on 12th March 2014 @1.30pm:- 

    i)  Essential skills for a medical teacher: an introduction to teaching and learning in medicine.

RefWorks Workshop - 5/3/2014

Dear All,

Library will conduct its first RefWorks workshop of the year this Wednesday. Details as follow:

Date: 5/3/2014
Time: 9:00 am – 11:00 am
Venue: E-Lab 3, IMU Bukit Jalil

Here are some of the features available from RefWorks:

1.    Accessible from anywhere with internet connection.
2.    Allow users to share reference with their colleagues.
3.    User-friendly:  Using “direct export” from other databases such as Science Direct to RefWorks
4.    Saving articles / documents in the database.
5.    Prepare citation.

Students and staff who are preparing their thesis / research and recently joined the university are encourage to attend the workshop.
