Scopus Database Hands-on Training

Dear all,

Please be informed that the Library with the help of Elsevier will be organizing a Scopus database training at IMU Bukit Jalil as below:

Date: 21st March 2016 (Monday)
Time: 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm
Venue: Library Computer Area, Bukit Jalil
Trainer: Lim Wee Li from Elsevier

The hands-on training session will focus on how to use available features in the database effectively. Currently, the database in on trial until 8th April 2016 and is accessible through the Library portal.

Scopus is the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed research literature with over 21,000 titles from more than 5,000 international publishers, of which 20,000 are peer-reviewed journals in the scientific, technical, medical, and social sciences (including arts and humanities). The database is owned by Elsevier.

Kindly be informed that Scopus database is currently available on trial until 8th April 2016.

Please go to IMU Library Portal http://i-lib.imu.edu.my – ONLINE – Trials or click http://i-lib.imu.edu.my/NewPortal/index.php/online/trials/203-scopus.

The Scopus Information site is available on the web at http://www.elsevier.com/online-tools/scopus. It contains a wealth of resources including:
  •     User guides and tips
  •     Title lists
  •     Quick tips and Frequently Asked Questions

LIBRARY CLOSED IN CONJUNCTION WITH CHINESE NEW YEAR

Please be informed that IMU Library will be closed from 7:00 PM on 5/2/2016 (Friday) until 9/2/2016 (Tuesday) in conjunction with Chinese New Year celebration. Library operation will resume as usual from 10/2/2016 (Wednesday) onwards.

IMU Library 2016 Stock Take Exercise Notice

Please be informed that the Library will conduct Stock Take exercise concurrently at BJ, SB, BP Kluang, and KP campuses during the Chinese New Year Holidays from 5th Feb until 9th Feb 2016:


The library team suggests you to renew your borrowed book (s) online (from your own location) before the due date to avoid unnecessary fines, or you may call the library counters at 03-2731 7319 (BJ), 06-767 7798 (SB), 07-432 2787 (BP), 06-481 9639 (KP) and 07-776 2681 (Kluang) should you need assistance from the staff.

We too strongly encourage you to use our digital library resources at all time from your own location.
