Upgrade of Virtua Library System

Dear all Library users,

Please be informed that there will be an upgrade exercise for Virtua Library System as follows :

Date: 21st – 25th November 2016 (Monday – Friday) (24 x 7 days)

During the above mentioned period, several Library services at all IMU Libraries will be temporarily interrupted such as:

1) Browsing, searching, Borrowing and renewing Library books.

2) Library Online Catalog (CHAMO) and online renewal.

However, those books deemed for return / check-in within this period must be returned accordingly.

Hence, all students, faculty members and staff who currently possess Library books under your account, need to renew your book(s) latest on this Sunday (20th Nov 2016) to avoid unnecessary Library fines. We regret for any inconveniences caused by this important exercise.

We strongly encourage everyone to fully utilise the e-books at all time via the Library portal:

BP Library Mini Book Exhibition (Public Health & Ophthalmology) + Self Help Book (Mental Health)

Dear all,

We are pleased to show case our e-books and printed books collection on Public Health & Ophthalmology for this month mini exhibition (from 13 Nov until 12 Dec 2016).

At the same time, we are also assisting Carina (Self Development Unit, SDU) to promote Self-Help Books that are available at IMU library. As for Nov, SDU are featuring books on Mental Health.

 

Kindly come over to have a look at the books we display (next to the library counter) hence borrow them from the library should you find it relevant.

We are also looking forward for your review and ratings on the book(s).

IMU Library (Bukit Jalil) extended operating hours on Sundays

Dear all,

Please be informed that Library operating hours for Bukit Jalil on Sundays (13th November to 18th December 2016) will be extended from 8:30 am - 6:00 pm in conjunction with the examination period.

Sharing session conducted by Mr. Alexius Cheang from Psychology Department

In conjunction with IMU Learning Resources Festival that will be held on 31st October – 1st November 2016 (http://imulrf.wixsite.com/2016), the Library has invited Mr. Alexius Cheang from Psychology Department  to conduct a sharing session on “How to Utilize Library Digital Resources related to Psychology”. Details of the session is as below:

Date: 1 November 2016 (Tuesday)
Time: 2:00 pm – 2:30 pm
Venue: Library Computer Area, IMU Bukit Jalil

Mr. Alexius will share his experiences and show his expertise on how to utilize Library e-resources (e-books, e-journals and databases) related to Psychology for your learning and teaching purposes.

All faculty members are encouraged to attend the session, especially from Psychology Department and those who recently joined the university.
